  • The world’s largest cryptocurrency is now down 22 percent in the past week, falling as much as 12 percent Monday to its lowest level in more than a year.
  • Other major cryptocurrencies ethereum and XRP dropped 13 and 5 percent respectively.

  • Apple shares dropped following a report the company has cut production for its newest iPhones.
  • Bitcoin also continued a year-long slide, hitting its lowest level of the year.

  • Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos told employees, in response to a question at an all-hands meeting last week, that the company is not “too big to fail.”
  • Bezos was asked a similar question at an internal meeting in March about Amazon’s size and the potential for government regulation.
  • Bezos is addressing the concerns as Amazon prepares to expand into two new headquarters locations in New York and Virginia.
  • Microsoft announced Wednesday it would acquire an Austin-based software product design and development studio called XOXCO.
  • XOXCO is known for Howdy, a bot for the popular Slack work chat app that helps schedule meetings, as well as Botkit, which provides development tools for the GitHub code-sharing service.
  • Microsoft has acquired several other AI startups this year, including Semantic Machines, Bonsai, and Lobe.
  • Microsoft also announced updates to its AI platform, including a new technology called Cognitive Services Containers.
CloudBees CEO Sacha Labourey referred to as Frankenstein Jenkins or, more snappily, “Jenkinsteins” as teams add plug-ins to create a “gigantic, fragile master that falls apart”.
Dealing with these “Jenkinsteins” is therefore important.
This is perhaps the most aggressive analysis of what IBM must do…. I like it!!!
